RULES AND REGULATIONS:
AS FEW AS POSSIBLE, HOWEVER...
Eligibility:
Open to all properties within the current village boundries of New Sarepta AND all properties located immediately adjacent this boundary. Also eligible to enter are those properties along New Sarepta's arterial roads towards Highway 21, specifically--Township Road 500 and Range Road 223. One entry per property/title.

The Basics:
This contest spans 2010 and 2011 with a focus on making a positive impact on the community and environment by greening and beautifying the neighbourhood. . . yard by yard. There is an emphasis for entrants to be resourceful and creative. Perhaps making your yard pollinator friendly? Or focus on native plants and grasses? Xeriscaping? Local food production--grow a Victory Garden or Victory Gardenette? You do not necessarily need a theme. . . just make your yard beautiful, green and practical.
We request you send one or two "before" photos of your yard. If you need us to take the "before" photo--please contact us.
We also request entrants submit a breif (less than one page) biography about your yard and the efforts to improve your yard. Submit the biography by August 1, 2011. You may be selected for a brief interview/tour of your yard prior August 30, 2011. Yards of various sizes will be judged differently yet fairly so all have an equal opportunity to win.
Keep in mind this contest spans 2010 and 2011 so start now! Be mindful of any materials you may use. For example, do not make planters out of old rail road ties as they contain creosote and should never be used in your garden.
